Best Fishing Times Calculator
without the guesswork.
Tide Window Calculator For Fishing — Load NOAA high/low predictions for a real station and build transparent trip-planning windows around selected turning points. Uses a focused calculator with visible assumptions. Inputs stay in your browser.
CalcSpan requests high/low predictions for the selected station and date directly from NOAA CO-OPS. No manual high-tide guess is used.

Context matters.
- Choose a NOAA tide-prediction station that represents the exact water body. A nearby station across an inlet, river reach or barrier can have different timing and range.
- The station ID and date are sent directly to NOAA when you calculate; CalcSpan does not receive or store them.

What to know before using the result.
Where do the tide times come from?
CalcSpan requests high/low predictions for the selected seven-digit station and date directly from NOAA CO-OPS using station local time and the MLLW datum.
Does the planning window predict when fish will bite?
No. It is only the number of hours you chose around each tide turning point. Species, current phase, water temperature, light, weather, structure and local experience determine actual fishing conditions.
Can I use this result for navigation?
No. NOAA tide predictions and CalcSpan planning windows are not certified navigation products. Check current observations, currents, marine forecasts, charts and local hazards.
